Petroltecnica provides an operation team capable of intervening in a few hours on the area affected by the environmental accident and promoting every possible measure and action to evaluate/reduce/limit the pollution.

A quick but careful evaluation of the environment and of the contaminating agents according to the present or past polluting event are the first actions Petroltecnica staff carries out, thanks to its know-how.
Then, according to the planning suggested by the case study, a series of operation measures – from fencing the area to be treated to the implementation of safety measures by means of specific equipment – is carried out.
To this end, containment and oil barriers, polypropylene materials, natural absorbing materials, containment and passive/active recovery equipment, cutting oil spill solutions, draining barriers and cuttings and containment methods of the contamination plume are used.
For safety reasons, for the success of the intervention and for the evaluation of the condition of each environmental matrix, scrupulous samplings and environmental screenings are carried out by means of specific instruments: explosimeter, portable photoionizers, interfaces, phreatimeter, gas detectors, phameters, baylers, analysis samplers, etc., before, during and after the operation phases.
The quick intervention of Petroltecnica staff aims to prevent the worsening of the environmental damage, so as to recover the previous condition in the less expensive way.
In case of people and environment safety and health danger, Petroltecnica environmental emergency service team assures to correctly implement the safety measures needed to prevent the worsening of the environmental damage, thanks to its rapid actions.
The team is composed of specialized engineers who evaluate the damaged environment, analyze the polluting potential and plan the measures to be taken . A switchboard assures the service 365 days a year and twenty-four hours a day. The team collects the needed information and, if necessary, it immediately starts the emergency actions.
