Automatic device for underground tanks cleaning

Bruco has marked an important change in the cleaning operations in closed, hazardous and potentially explosive environments; it has been developed according to the “NO MAN ENTRY” technologies. It is  a robot, ATEX certified for “0” areas (risk of explosion), it is remote controlled replacing human work in the underground tank. Thanks to this device the risk of accidents is null.

Bruco is a small tracked robot driven by a pneumatic engine which can be operated at a safe distance by an operator; it is equipped with rotating nozzles able to wash the internal walls of the underground tank, with high pressure water and cleanser taking out residual sludge which is temporally stored in a dedicate truck and transferred in a disposal plant. An high definition camera placed on the Bruco device allows a perfect inspection of internal walls.
